The Feeding the Hungry Program is a community driven effort to cultivate a safe space for our homeless population in Jacksonville, FL to encourage health and wellness within our homeless population. The Feeding the Hungry Program is operating under the Health Education and Training Center of Gainesville, Inc, (H.E.A.T.) and is sponsored by Panera Bread, and Susie’s Affordable 2nd Thrift Store. At the Feeding the Hungry program the homeless population enjoys free wellness screenings such as; free mental health screenings, yoga/meditation, food, and free hair styling. The event is held every month at Harvest Ministries from 11- 2pm on Sundays. All proceeds go back to the H.E.A.T. Center of Gainesville, Inc. for the Bags N’ Bagels program that the organization is raising to help the homeless population in housing
